Hole #1

Welcome to Harbor Point Golf Club's opening hole, an enticing 5-par, reachable in two by the bombers.

Most players will play down the left of the fairway, but watch out, two bunkers on the right and trees on the left will gobble up an errant shots

This hole is not without risk. The green is protected by two large front bunkers, requiring an accurate short-iron approach. The green is generous and expansive making this the perfect prelude to an enjoyable round of golf.

Hole #2
The second hole at harbor point may seem easy by looking at the scorecard. With several strategically placed large trees, a small green surrounded by bunkers, and a narrow fairway getting a par on this hole is always a treat.

Hole #3
A straight-away par 4 with a bunker obscuring most of the green from view which makes any approach shot scary.
Hole4.JPG
Hole #4

Hole 4 is a 187yd par 3 from the tips with a green that seems to sit in the middle of a beach due to the 4 bunkers surrounding it. Hitting this postage stamp size green would make even the best of pro's happy

Hole #5

In a word, "demanding". This 4-par plays tougher than it looks.

A solid tee shot down the middle to middle-right of the fairway leaves a mid to short iron approach uphill to a deceiving back to front sloping green. A three putt on this devil is more common than a two putt.

The green is well protected by a deep bunker on the left and flat bunker to the right, neither are bargains to get up and down from, further emphasizing the importance of the approach. A par on #5 is a precious commodity and a birdie is pretty much a myth.

Hole #6

The 6th hole at harbor point was just put in this year. Length on this hole is not a must but a while hit drive might end up on the green. But the smart play is a 200yd shot off the tee to avoid the two bunkers at all costs.

Hole7.JPG
Hole #7

With one of the best views of Litter Traverse Bay, this downhill 400yd par 4 has a view that pictures can't do justice to. OB right and a deceiving green that you won't believe make this another hole that par is a great score.

Holex8.JPG
Hole #8

A look back down the gorgeous 8th, a relatively open and generous 4-par shows the natural beauty that is reflective of the entire golf course.

Hole 8 should be a hole to get your scorecard back on track before the end on the front 9. Its a short par 4 that if you avoid the one bunker should yield you a great chance at birdie.

Hole #9

The finishing hole, an elegant 4-par with tree trouble left and hidden bunkering down the right.

The 9th hole at harbor point is a great finish to the front even though it does not seem to fit the style of the golf course. That and the clubhouse in the background make this a great hole. A hole that if your drive can avoid all the bunkers should give you an easy par.

Hole #10

A beautiful 5-par overlooking picturesque Little Traverse Bay to the left.

A traditional three shot hole, #10 offers long hitters an eagle opportunity with two well-placed shots, but beware of the fairway bunker to theright as it is reachable by most.

For the average player a short-iron approach must be well struck to this narrow green. Well placed bunkering eagerly gobbles up any wayward shots, placing a premium on accuracy.

Hole #11

On this par 3 you may need to bring an extra club because it plays more uphill than you can see. A miss to the right or short is key but anything left will probably leave you with no chance for par. The green slopes from back to front and from left to right.

Holex12.JPG
Hole #12

The 12 hole is the longest at Harbor Point, and it plays even longer due to it going up hill. It is about 220 yds to carry the bunker on the right. The green is much larger than it looks from the fairway and this makes the approach much easier.

Holex13.JPG
Hole #13

At 206yds this is the longest par 3 at Harbor Point. To make this hole even more difficult this is one of the Smallest greens on the course. If you miss the green to want to make it miss right and you could get a back onto the putting surface.

Holex14.JPG
Hole #14

After a short walk across the road you come to the 14th hole. Anything right on this par 5 will be just fine. Because this hole plays uphill it is best to play it as a three shot hole. The green complex here slopes more toward the front than you might expect.

Holex15.JPG
Hole #15
A short par three that plays about 130 yds from the tips even though it is downhill. If you can avoid OB left you should give your self a great chance at birdie and get you round back on track for the finish.

Holex16.JPG
Hole #16
An easier par 4 that calls for a mini slice off the tee due to tree branches on the right of the tee box. A good drive should leave a short iron or wedge to a larger green with a bunker on the right. This is one of the few greens that does not slope toward the water.

Holex17.JPG
Hole #17
The 17th hole plays much like the 15th but a little bit easier due to no OB and a larger green.
Over the green is the worse than the front bunkers and it gives very little chance at saving par so always miss short

Holex18.JPG
Hole #18
Last hole on the course and it comes with a great view its self. For most players the bunkers on the left will not come into play and the water on the right factors in for the second shot. Avoid the three bunkers around the green and make a strong finish to a great round.
